Privacy Policy
Last updated November 17, 2025.
We believe you should always know what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what control you have. This Privacy Policy explains how the Quick Draft for Obsidian mobile application ("Quick Draft", "we", "us", or "our") handles your personal data.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the use of the Quick Draft mobile application (the "Application").
It explains:
- what personal data we collect (and what we do not collect);
- how this data is used;
- your rights concerning personal data.
About Us
I am Serhii Petrenko, operating under the product name Quick Draft for Obsidian. I am the controller of your personal data.
You can contact me via:

Key Principle: Your Content Stays on Your Device
We do not collect, store, or access any personal note content you create inside the Application, including:
- text notes
- voice recordings
- images, photos, and attachments
- template data
- content sent to your Obsidian Vault
All note content stays on your device and is saved directly into your local Obsidian vault.
Temporary Draft Storage
Quick Draft may temporarily store a draft written on the main screen in a local on-device database to prevent data loss. These drafts remain strictly on your device and are never transmitted to any external server or third-party service.
A draft is stored until:
- you explicitly save it into your Obsidian Vault
- you clear the input
AI Features
Quick Draft includes optional AI-powered features (e.g., title generation or transcription).
No content is sent to AI providers unless you explicitly use an AI feature.
- When you do not use AI, no data is ever sent outside your device.
- When you do use an AI feature, only the specific content required for that feature is securely sent to the AI provider.
- We do not store, log, or reuse this content in any way.
What Data Do We Collect?
We collect technical information required to ensure the app’s stability and performance.
Crash Reporting & Diagnostics
To identify and fix technical issues, Quick Draft may collect anonymized crash logs, such as:
- device model
- OS version
- app version
- crash stack traces
- basic device technical state at the moment of the crash

Payments
Purchases made within the Application (e.g., subscriptions) are processed by:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
We do not receive your payment card details. We receive basic payment status information.

- platform information (iOS/Android)
- country or region (derived from the store)
- product identifiers and subscription status
- timestamps related to purchases or renewals
RevenueCat does not receive your notes, drafts, recordings, images, or any other content you create inside Quick Draft. It processes data solely to verify purchases, restore subscription access, determine entitlement eligibility, and prevent fraud.

Where Do We Obtain Data?

To Whom Do We Disclose Personal Data?
We may disclose limited data only to:
- Payment processors (Apple, Google, RevenueCat)
- Crash-reporting providers (Crashlytics, anonymized crash logs)
We do not share data with advertisers or analytics providers. We do not sell or trade personal information. If data is transferred outside the EEA, it is done under proper safeguards.
How Long Do We Store Personal Data?
